School of sailing on the Cap-Ferret peninsula
The Club Nautique de Claouey is open all year round running sailing activities for schools and the school of sport.
A centre for regional training
Recognised as a French School of Sailing by the Fédération Française de Voile, the Club Nautique de Claouey is one of six regional training centres in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. In this context we welcome young and mini competitors racing at Optimist.
The pleasure of sailing throughout the year
Sailing is a pleasurable leisure activity that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Registering with a sailing school is the best way to progress rapidly and master sailing skills in a free and responsible manner.
The club is a friendly place where we share common values: advice, interaction, experiences, mutual help and the pleasure which unites us in the sporting pursuit of sailing.
Sailing courses for children
The 6 – 10 year olds meet on a Wednesday from 14.00 to 17.00 at the sea school to familiarise themselves with the culture of the sea and sailing. Our specialised instructors are qualified to teach young children and will help them to gradually become competent sailors.
The children can then progress to the sport school Optimist which takes place on Saturdays from 11.00 to 17.00
Sailing courses for adolescents
The sport school for adolescents runs on Saturdays from 11.00 to 17.00 developing them from first steps to competency in sailing.
Sailing courses for adults
As sailing is a leisure activity for all ages, you can also register in our year round sailing school. The courses take place during the week at the end of the afternoon.
